Marching Band Physicals

Bryan ISD is hosting two opportunities for students to get their athletic physical done for next academic year.  They are open to all students that will be 7th-12th graders next year, regardless of the school they will be attending.  All students are encouraged to get their physical completed by their primary care physicians, however, we wanted to provide these opportunities for those that are unable to see a primary care doctor.
May 8th @ Bryan High School field house beginning at 4:00.  Doors will close at 5:30.  Anyone in the doors by 5:30 will receive their physical.  Park in the gym lot, and enter through the field house doors facing the gyms.  All SFA and Bryan High athletes are encouraged to come on this date if possible.
May 15thth @ Rudder High School field house beginning at 4:00.  Doors will close at 5:30.  Anyone in the doors by 5:30 will receive their physical.  Park in the gym lot and enter through the main doors of the field house facing the school.  All Davila and Rudder High athletes are encouraged to come on this date if possible.
Physical forms are currently available in the athletic training rooms, athletic offices, or from middle school or intermediate school coaches.  Additionally, it can be found on the link at the bottom of this email, however all physicals must be dated after April 1st to be valid for next year.  The medical history form MUST BE SIGNED BY A PARENT and completed before the physical exam.
  • $10 (Cash Only)
  • Bring glasses or contacts if necessary
  • An action plan is required for students with asthma, seizures, diabetes and severe allergies that may result in respiratory distress.  These forms must be completed by the student’s primary care physician.  All forms are available at the link included.
All additional UIL and BISD required paperwork has transitioned to an online system.  Please visit to complete these forms.  In order to complete these forms, you will need the student’s full name as it is registered with Bryan ISD and student ID number.  These online forms do not need to be completed at the same time as the physical.  However, they must be completed prior to the student competing in any practice or games for next year.  Computers/ipads will be available on physical day to assist all parents that wish to complete online forms while waiting.
Additionally, we will be offering optional ECG screenings for $20.  These are not required to participate in athletics.  In order to receive an ECG, all participants must have a signed consent form available at the link below.

SFA University Band Camp

We are encouraging all of our wind and percussion students to attend the SFA University Summer Band Camp this year! This is not mandatory, but highly encouraged to attend! The cost for this camp is $435 and the dates are June 9-14. I highly encourage this opportunity as it gives your child a fun week away from home with their band friends and also time to spend on a college campus.

We will provide transportation via school bus there and back to Nacogdoches, but if you would like to drive them there and back, you are more welcome to do so. Please see this website on how you can find out more information about the camp and how to register.

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Winter Guard teams for their 1st place finishes at the TCGC Contest at Morton Ranch High School!
